The answer my friend.... 2 Years, 6 Months ago
Leaving aside that the world has gone potty...why are we only learning this now getting on for 2 years in?

Masks should be worn outdoors in blowy conditions as well as indoors in crowded spaces we are informed. Surely this is not hard to test for? Why didn't anyone test this before?

Perhaps this is why lockdowns didn't work: the answering is blowin' in the wind through our windows & crossing our gardens...!

It was known a couple of years ago, but the "old" virus was less hardy than the Delta thing, which is the only thing now.
Same with surfaces. First it wasn't a major source of transmission, but again, the delta thing survives a bit longer and is transmitted more easily, so they say.

In other words, carry on as normal washing your hands and turn your head away if you pass coughing joggers. Or something.

I am having another chain smoking and booze filled poker session tonight with a group of 6.

We will be coughing and spluttering near each other, like we did last week.
