Absolutely superb photo in the centre of today's Guardian... 16 Years, 7 Months ago
A nesting albatross in a field of albatrosses. Coleridge would have had a fit. (often did, I gather). But does anyone else think it is a fix? Doesn't the closeup Albie look "dubbed in" like the imaginary minister in the hospital pic? Or am I being cynical? I don`t think it`s actually fake, but it has a remarkable touch up job done on it, failing that, the colour seperation on the printing has not done it justice.

I don`t know about anyone else, but my copy looks like someone has plonked an albatross from Photoshop on it, it even seems to have an outline!

Dodgy press pics? Whatever next....!

IRC the Guardian vowed not to doctor pictures after one when Gordon Brown had somebody behind him removed.

They had a very introspective debate about the use or misuse of Photoshop.

As the Guardian is the only newspaper that publicly discusses it's own errors it seems unlikely it is doctored, touched up perhaps.
