Two line caught, grilled fresh mackerel with lime and butter.
Gratin Dauphinoise (they do a marvellous ready made in Harrods - "you are a crocodile!").

Cucumber (green and cool to cut the oil).

Cold cider to drink.

We had a day largely sustained on motorway junk food, but had a nice smoked haddock for breakfast before leaving, line caught also, with no luminating yellow make up painted on.

Mackerel with Lime..makes a refreshing change from Lemon.
Harrods....may be a little on the expensive side...but quality counts.
Do you have a traditional sunday lunch planned?

I`m slow cooking a rack of lamb marinated in olive oil, mint and smoked paprika, rosemary and lemon roast potatoes and mildly curried sweed puree.

How does one spell the sweed correctly? Hmm....

Swedes are one of those vegetables very perculiar to Britain.
When I lived in Spain the expats used to ask me to bring them over...and in Ukraine I've never seen more than a Turnip..and they are not so popular.
Still never liked them after my Mother used to boil them to death...memories can linger:laugh:
Not a bad price for Gratin Dauphinoise, one expects Harrods to come with a price tag...but perhaps if you add in the extra quality and freshness you get...well their prices may be very reasonable.
Thanks Mart & JK for sharing some interesting food thoughts.

One of the few things the former CCCP does well is smoked haddock....had to go and buy a few after your mention...and thankfully even a motorway service station would be an improvement to some of the food here lol:laugh:
