Yes, have you assets seized BEFORE the trial (and if you are acquitted you will get them back !) What next? When there is a murder imprison EVERYONE in that area until they can prove their innocence? This is her very worrying admission on BBC Radio 4's Today Program.

Interviewer - "Is it really true that you going to suggest that people should have their assets taken before they've even been charged with a crime because that would seem to run against a very fundamental principle of British law?"

Jacqui Smith- "Yes it is and we'll change the law to make sure that we can do it"
