Glitter Royalty Payments 15 Years, 6 Months ago
Quite interesting to note on Yahoo that the next furore to arise (or the merde to hit the revolving blades) is thequestion of Hewlett-Packard's payment of copyright royalties to Gary Glitter.

He is owed the royalty payments so, to my mind, even if some people don't like that, tough!

I occasionally find myself in the same situation (though in my case the royalty payments aamount to pence from the PRS)as I occupy the same status as Mr Gadd!

Anti Terrorist law can be used to freeze assetts ( as Iceland found out )

Therefore you are right that potentially New Labour could start deciding who gets paid and who does not. They are attempting to turn the UK into a Prison for all of us.

Out of 60 million of us only 100,000 are in prison or in transit to prison in the system.

But we are all treated as criminals and all guilty unless we can prove our ID or say the "right things" about Gordon Brown.

I am sure that my postings on here will lead to retribution against me - time will tell. Because i believe in 10 foot lizards like ICKE I take it I am crazy and so will be left alone. But for most people who are genuinely in the public domain if they dont toe the New Labour line then they will have their assetts frozen.

The political background to this is basically the Marxist redistribution of wealth laws. This is what BROWN has introduced under the LIE of anti terrorist legislation. New Labour are deeply extreme and know how to use these laws because they studied this at University. Because our society is now dumbed down only people in the 40s+ who have done proper history and politics can recognise what is happening.

I hadn't even begun to think of the further (financial) implications. You are quite right. The use of anti-terror laws to divert or freeze payments would make a mockery of intellectual copyright.

This is very worrying.

Sorry my keyboard types names in capitals. Not angry it is for ID purposes Sorry cant do anything about it. So if I write about ROSS or ICKE they will pop up in capitals like that or JK. Just ignore it if large letters offend you

do you have a link?

Sounds more like a Sun beat-up to find another Glitter Bashing tale.

I think any attempt to interfer with royalties would be a can of worms no government could attempt to open and would fail on a legal challenge.

then again...

Why shouldn't Gary Glitter get his royalties ?

He's not in jail anymore.

The Daily Mail thoughtfully include the advert so we may watch and be outraged.

How kind.

HP has pulled the ad in the UK and changed the music in the US.

Another victory for the meedijah.

The media cant control the whole World and probably with the airplay in the USA alone ( who ignore foreign policy outside LA and New York ) and it is a band music staple - Glitter probably has more cash than he knows what to do with.

It is noticable that the media have stopped chasing him recently because the general public is tired of media campaigns. They also created the Brand and Ross campaign - and will probably be moving to their next targets shortly.

If everyone stopped buying the papers then it would stop them.....but The Mail on Saturday and Sunday is an excellent paper - as is the Sunday Times - so these campaigns detract from the good parts of the papers.

With yesterday being hallowe'en, I painted a pair of wellies silver, and placed them in front of my front door. We didn't get any trick or treat kids as they thought they were at Gary Glitter's house.
