Food post - pan fried trout in butter sauce 15 Years, 6 Months ago

Reading the absurd latest censorship case ("Chef censured for cooking Hitler's favourite dish"), I remembered how much I loved fresh trout with butter and lemon and decided that would be my dinner.

But no less than THREE fish shops (Fishworks and others) said "we don't sell fresh water fish".

Why on earth not?

I finally found two whole fresh Scottish rainbow trout in M&S (

Well, Paddy, the nicest butcher that I know (although not always the greatest , sorry Paddy;)* ) insisted that I try his Chinese chicken which he had marinated himself.
I threw it into a low oven for an hour, forgot about it, and threw some stir fried vegetables into a wok and that was it.

Not bad at all actually, there is some left over and we were fed for
