John Leslie banned from Blue Peter reunion 15 Years, 3 Months ago
Quite right too. Can't have the innocent victim of false allegations on TV can we?

These days you don't need a conviction to ruin a life. Witch burning anyone?

Will Richard Bacon be there. He actually did something, even though it was only drug taking. John Leslie has had nothing proven against him.

The BBC has been described as "Stalinist" today.

The BBC should be shut down.

It has no intergrity left. The people who run it have an agenda which has become a haven for the Loony Left.

The UK has been undermined by the BBC pumping out rubbish into our homes.

Only the drama department based in Wales has any credibility ( Doctor Who - Torchwood - Merlin ) and that should be kept.

The NEWS service is 100% biased towards the New Labour worldview. It gives no time to alternative views - and in the case of THATCHER has banned her for using English words they do not approve of.

This smacks of 1950s Stalinist control of the Media.

Brown reminds me of the Great Russian Leaders who swanned around whilst their people did not even have enough food.

Our economy will be like that soon if we dont stand up and say NO MORE !!!

No, I think the BBC must be supported - but made to grow a backbone.

Now as for shutting down...

Mail? Sun? NOTW? People... oh, that's doing a great job shutting itself down...

But JK in a world of private companies why a public broadcaster ? I just dont see any reason for keeping the BBC going.

They spend far too much money on the "organisation" and I know first hand of the excesses in spending.

Good reason to improve it; no reason to scrap it.
Reason for a Public Service Broadcaster? Because private companies (like the banks) put profits before responsibilities which is why we're all in the mess we are in now.

The issue surrounding Leslie may have something to do with the fact that millions have seen his todger being sucked on various websites. Surely distancing themselves from him is a good thing? Its the only good thing he's done and, i'm sure i'm not the only one who associates him with "that" video.

This is the first I've ever heard of such a video.

Me too Al; we clearly live in a different world from the angels.

What's more, even though I now know it exists I have no desire to watch it or track it down.

I suspect you feel the same way.

Indeed. No desire to see it at all.

I haven't seen such video, but I know it exists and I don't think a person performing in such videos should be associated with children's programmes. Also he was photographed snorting cocaine and it appeared on the front of a tabloid. His latest venture is opening up old people's homes and fleecing old people of their savings. I don't think there is much demand to see his smug face on our tv screens anymore.

Is this "fleecing old people of their savings" claim based on evidence? As for snorting cocaine ... I'm sure he won't be the first or last TV presenter to fall into that habit. That doesn't make it right, of course, but I'm sure TV-land has many skeletons hidden in the closets of various celebrities. I certainly think it would be a bad idea to have John Leslie back presenting a kids show, but Comic Relief is a rather crumby affair aimed mainly at adults, so it is rather different.

Did John Leslie even want to be a part of it, or is this just a story for the sake of a story?

a similar internet 'expose' was the making of Paris Hilton's career and indeed-if you look at her fan base you will see they are mainly children and young teens.
