What this does for me however is remind me how talentless we've become,when our greatest leaders and shakers pretty much all come from an age where they should be enjoying their well earned retirement.

I'm only two years and five months behind you, JK and I wonder how much the state pension for a single person like myself will be in 2012. I will have to think about making enquiries soon at the DWP...or whatever they call themselves these days. They will probably have changed their name again by 2012.

I'm only 40...a long way to go, but this government wants us all to work until we drop dead. I believe that Cameron and co are also looking at raising the retirement age. I might be working until I'm 90. If I live that long of course. That's another 50 years of getting up at 6am.
