CBEEBIES bans Christmas !!! 14 Years, 5 Months ago

Now we have that great organisation known as the BBC deciding that the nativity wont be mentioned at Christmas ( no problem for other religions having their festivals covered by CBeebies etc etc )

What is it about the BBC which makes it so Anti Christian ? With 13% of the population attending Church on Christmas Day and possibly as many as 60% attending a Carol Service over the Christmas week surely the BBC SHOULD cover the festivities.......?
Time for a massive shake up at the BBC to allow those who believe in Christmas a place.

Gosh, more Yuletide scaremongering from our friendly local purveyor of Sleep Assistance. Let's put this into perspective.
13 % of the population going to church on Christmas Day?
I'll believe it when I see it. Actually I won't because I won't be there myself. But let's take it as read {just for the moment} that that figure is accurate. I do't believe it myself, but we can pretend. 13%. Let's put that another way. Thirteen Percent. THIRTEEN PERCENT. THIRTEEN PERCENT. Not many people, is it?
Were those 13 % of the population in favour of the wars in Iraq or Aghanistan would you consider it a figure which gave legitimacy to the campaigns? I think not. Yould be on here screaming that a mandate of 13 percent was no mandate at all. What's next, 13 percent of a jury believe that the defendant is guilty and that should be enough to convict? Yet your hypocritical 13 % who trot off to church on Christmas Day {and where are they for the rest of the year?} somehow qualify for their own TV programmes.
The figure of 13 percent I'm happy to address because it's probably about right.
Your figure of 60 % for random carol services is assuredly more shaky. 60 percent. Really?? Of the whole population????
That's surely somewhere in the region of 40 million people.
The UK is no longer a Christian country. I love it every year when we get this sudden rush of religious fervour. Peace and Goodwill to All Men. As long as they're not gay, black, Asian, Eastern European or Muslim.
As for the BBC's "anti Christian" stance... You're talking rubbish. Christmas hasn't been banned by the BBC, let alone its childrens'arm. If you like I'll go through the Christmas edition of Radio Times {when it comes out} and throw you a few examples from the festive programming. But I'd rather you did it yourself then admit you were wrong. Which would be a first.
I wish the BBC would ban Christmas. I wish the whole country would abandon Christianity along with all the other excuses for hating people who are different. But as it is, I accept that a small minority will wish to stick to their usual hypocrisy and expect the rest of the country to fall in line with them, squealing ever so loudly when something even looks like it might not be like it was in the good old days when we ruled the world, everybody went to church and a boy's place was up a chimney or dead under a loom.
