Near the end he marvels at how all the generations mix together without any kind of phobias, and how strong and happy the community is despite the lack of mod cons and luxuries. There is hardly any crime, possibly because everybody knows and supports each other and any criminal would have to face the wrath of the entire community. Very interesting programme. McCloud still adopts his disparaging critique of his hosts accommodation in their presence as he does on Grand Designs which appeared quite disrespectful at times.
