Like it or not, Scotland is a part of the UK and Lab/Lib rules almost totally north of the border.

I do like Cameron's "over riding concern for a stable government" when he means "for me to become PM".

And Malcolm Rifkind adding that Clegg said he would ONLY negotiate with Labour if talks collapsed with the Tories - when he said nothing of the sort.

I agree JK and that is why we need an ENGLISH PARLIAMENT like the Scots and Welsh and Irish have...

We have NO REPRESENTATION in England/

The farcical thing is that the Scots have their OWN Parliament (as do the Welsh) but can also influence Westminster.

Look at how ridiculous it was for Alex Salmond claiming he should speak in the debates when he wasn't even standing at the election !

Either England should also have its own Parliament (and then Westminster can become the "overal" voice for the UK / Great Britain, or else Westminster should become soely the English parliament.

Well, I agree with you completely about Rifkind. He was talking complete nonsense. Of course Clegg should speak to everyone he wants to before weighing them all up. But I don't think you can single Cameron out for saying what he did - sure, he's a politician, he has a self-interested motive, but I doubt one can dismiss the notion that he also has rather better motives in this particular case: speaking as someone who'd never ever vote Tory even at gunpoint, I think he's behaved - at least in public - surprisingly well during this peculiar interregnum. Rather better than Clegg, IMHO.

Why not? Conservatives picked up more seats in Britain than any other party. Who said where they are should count?

... and far better than Brown, who at this very moment is on his way to the Commons to grovel a bit more !
