It seems that ISRAEL and USA have been making preparations to attack IRAN. In response IRAN is now going onto a war footing on its North Western border.

Half Past Human has predicted NEXT WEEK and particularly 8 JULY as the start of hostilities in this area - with a potential attack on IRAN.

Hopefully, the Israeli Alliance will pull back from this - but they are rattled by the obvious IRAN development of Nukes which supposedly are very close to completion with Russian and Chinese help. Though I cant see IRAN using them because it would sign their death certificate.

We are coming ever closer to nuclear war in the Middle East as foretold in the Bible. That would paralyse the world's oil supplies and bring economic standstill to the world and create many transport and power issues - not to mention the radiation dangers of using nuclear weapons if that happens.......

The VOLCANO allowed the World to see what would happen when air transport was grounded. Perhaps that was a drill.......to explore other methods and to test emergency supplies etc
If that was the case it has shown how much we rely on air transport for the "Global Economy"

This site has many in depth articles on the Middle East and is worth bookmarking for future reference if things do get ugly.

I am not predicting anything - I have pointed out two sources that say that war is a possibility in the near future. Credible sources I might add.

My own view from living in London is irrelevant because I have not got any inside information.

Please dont confuse my predictions with others predictions. I rarely predict anything on here - not the election result or even the lottery numbers I just link to news of potential events predicted by those who analyse this information.

My own view at the moment is that a war with IRAN has been likely since 2003 - and so the law of averages says it is LESS likely to happen now than it was back then. But that is not a prediction because one nutter in the USA or Israel or Iran could change all of that.

So in the space of a very few hours you predict something very explicitly on one thread then claim in this thread that you have predicted nothing. I am not predicting that it will happen - just saying that it is more likely than not at some point - and next week could be a tension point.

My apparant contradictions show that I have not got a clue whether it will happen.

The law of averages says that for nearly 8 years the "war" has not happened.

The other law saying that as Iran gets nuclear capability it becomes more likely.

The two are in conflict - I dont know which argument will out in the end - do you ?

I think this is why in International Relations things happen slowly and there is always a chance of peace ( Cuban Missile Crisis ) or war ( Iraq WMD ).......

As for the prison comments - I think JK sums it up well - no bitterness at all from JK and I have to be fair to LO and say I dont see any bitterness in his posts either.

LO is an excellent voice of conscience for my posts - always making sure that I am being clear about what I say.

Please not there are no capitals used wrongly in this post.

PS did you see that the Mail seemed to "use" our debate to write a headline on Saturday about the Gerrard case - very cool.

In the absense of any other information about LO I can only conclude that this episode made him sad and bitter.

There is, as I'm sure you will agree, a real difference between people who commit crimes and those who are incarcerated for crimes they did not commit !

Actually ITK I'm not so sure about the difference between the rightly and wrongly convicted.
I learned a great deal in prison and met some innocent people I didn't like and some guilty ones I did.
It was a truly eye opening experience. Every individual is different and no circumstances are the same.

Agreed entirely ... my point was that someone who does commit a crime is likely to do so again, whereas an innocent person would probably not.

Generalisations, I know, but I think there is a strong possibility that it is true ?

I know that human life is valuable - and not a throw-away commodity (which is what society is trying to make us believe) and accept as though it is "normal".

I was likening a woman (of which there are many) who finds a child an "inconvenience" to dispose of as she wishes .... and as if to highlight my point along comes a BBC2 programme (Thursday and Friday at 9pm) called "Dive" in which a girl (who gets preggers) is "encouraged" to abort it by her mother so she can "get on with her life" (with absolutely no regard for the life she is discarding).
