On the same day there was a horrible case announced of the torture of a cat in Oz but it received scant mention...Lola's case was headline news though.

Actually dear boy the media jumped on it later on.The original outrage built up momentum via facebook,and is a classic example of 'bottom up' pushing for action,rather than 'top down' trying to manipulate a reaction.
Of course the media didn't help,but here in Britain we're a nation of animal lovers,and this was so against what people like me stand for.
