Great news. The less people exposed to it the better.

Best website on the net - but I cant justify paying for a website where there are adverts and so on.

Without people being able to link to their stories it will go down hill very fast.

Not going to work. I visit the current site for all my news - but will now have to rely on the GUARDIAN and BBC and TELEGRAPH - whom all have decent enough sites.

If all newspapers go behind walls - then in the end they will destroy themselves. Murdoch will see them all off and then come out from behind his walls.

The times only has 100,000 subscribers when it used to get MILLIONS each week before. So it has failed completely. In addition I can see subscribers to non specialist sites drying up and actually going down rather than up after the first year.

This is a broken model which will fail.
