A student, speaking on BBC Look North earlier today, admitted that all the coaches to take them (from Sheffield) down to today's "demo" had been booked and paid for by Unions.

Effectively, RENT-A-RABBLE !

I wonder if this is happening throughout the UK?

The Unions clearly cannot do much themselves - as their puppets, the Labour Party (who, remember, got us all into this mess) don't have any power - and don't look likely to have for many years.

So the Commie Unions are trying to disrupt / damage the Government instead.

Yep - elected entirely by the Commie Unions (many of who were using "double-votes" - one as a Union member and another vote as a member of the loony Labour Party).

you are responding to someone whose family were all proud union convenors..including my father who was boss at one stage of a bankers association who got into all sorts of trouble when he described it to his associates as the "banker's union".

no-the country is in debt and possibly bankrupt because a Tory Lite party has been in charge for a decade perpetuating the dreadful Thatcherite policies that destroyed British industry that was built by the working men and women of Britain and the unions .

you are confusing Nu Labour for old Labour. I saw Nu Labour & the Blair government as an abomination.

The last decent Labour leader was John Smith who would have been superb. I'm sure Blair did a deal with the Devil.

The IMF is a scam along with 'globalisation' whioh are about perpetuating the rule of corporations and their masters.

Unfortunately when the crazies get into power you have a choice-completely opt out or try and work within the system. The unions and old Labour war horses try to do that just as many principled ones resigned over Blair's lies about the illegal Iraq invasion.

You won't get me defending the last government particularly as they paved the way for the Tories !
