After me previous thread regarding the harrassment I am receiving in the community I live in I am considering moving as was suggested. The question I have is how do you move home (I own my house)without leaving a trail so that I cant be traced to a new address ?
Simply change your name? Only use the new name for the new address and have no links with the past?
I understand that it is perfectly legal to simply change your name and you do not need and official (ie Deed Poll) document to do it. A deed poll may "link" the new names together?

you can legally change your name by deed poll in the UK. The only way to check is by doing a physical search..it's not computerised anywhere (I know this for a fact-had a private eye last year trying to trace a yob here born in the UK who did this 5 years ago-it was going to be too expensive to have someone search...his history begins in Wandsworth 5 years ago...trying to trace beyond that either requires exhaustive leg work or thousands of pounds to a private dick)
You only need to legally change it to change bank account names etc..build up a history with driver's licence, credit cards etc. Difficult to do that by just changing your name without a document..you can have 50 new names.
If you can pay for everything in cash you wouldn;t need a formal name change.
At the same time...do as the creep did that I have been chasing here....set up a false trail. He has done this by posting on internet boards in his new name..facebook pages etc.
You could do that with your old name..say you have moved to Rotarua in new Zealand and looking for Facebook friends there...get the bastards bombarding the Rotarua Daily Rag about you..

Once you have changed your name simply fill in the electoral register in your "new" name. It may be a year / 18 months after you move before you are required to fill in an electoral register form - and your new identity could be well established by then.
Thereby your old name "dies" at the old address and your new personality is "born" at your new address.
I didn't realise it was that easy... so there you are !...go to a solicitor and do it that way and then start building up your ID and bingo !!
You don't even have to be on the polls do you ?,,unless you wish to vote..compulsorary in Oz (and why you get reasonable governments) but not so in the UK.

Thats right ... under NO circumstances do anything that will link your old name and new one (such as putting adverts in local papers etc) - that will get picked up somewhere and your two names will be "linked" together (as aka's).

Yes, veritas ... filling-in the poll registration form is also compulsory in the UK, but simply fill it in using the new name.

of course ...poll tax.
But I never fill in a form correctly. Trying to get my real details would take a team of forensic detectives a lifetime. I feel it's my duty to circumvent beurocracy. Something I learnt from my mother.
