like Mick Jagger...I think that gorgeous bouffant gets a nice rest at night on the mantle piece

about 20 years ago I worked as a lowly gaffer on a Bowie video..he was dancing in one scene and the front of his hair flew off. I got such a shock..best rug I've ever seen.

You shock me about Bowie! As for Macca, his Dad went partially bald fairly early, but Paul's younger brother - the rather nice Mike - has very similar hair to Paulie. It's just white. Didn't Paul shave his hair off when Linda lost her hair? If so he's a gallant man.

Actually, it's a scientific fact that hair loss is inherited from the mother's side of the family.

There are enough treatments out there these days to prevent hair-loss, if not to reverse it.
Propecia, prevents further hair loss in 90% of men, and Regaine has been around for about 20 years or so and that is also very effective in preventing hair-loss. There is no need for anyone these days to go bald (apart from those 10% for whom propecia doesn't work.

this is true but sadly age thins everyone's hair. Paul looks like he has had some weaving done..they can do such a brillaint job now.

Angel..you cannot see the Thin Duke's piece but it is a superb small adition to the front..similar to Mel Gibson's. He really didn't look after his health ib the beginning..teeth were a real shocker..green almost.

Like all Capricorns he has get better with age and maturity.

Utter tosh. Regaine does not prevent, it slows down the process and propecia works in the same way. Stop using the stuff and you're back to square one. If there was a cure as good as you suggest then Elton, Travolta etc wouldn't wear a syrup. They are still looking for a cure.

No; my mum couldn't use a computer at this level for toffee but her dad did have male pattern baldness just like me.

Well Actually Elton has been bald since the early 70's, so too late for propecia, it doesn't grow back hair, merely prevents further loss in 90% of cases. You should read my messages more accurately angel, I do actually say that it prevents further hair-loss, if not reverses it. Well as regards the theory about, stop using it and you're back to square one. This is true, eventually your hair will start falling out again, however, the workaround is don't stop using it.

Not true, Sidcup. How do you then explain two brothers of the same age with the same mother, one of whom has a full head of hair and the other who is bald?

There is no guaranteed way of preventing hair loss or a means of reversing it.

Check the last sentence in your first post. It contradicts your last post.

I have 3 brothers- 2 by a different father. In both sets of two-one has gone almost completely bald..(I have a fine crop)..perhaps the genes can skip a generation..just as one child may have the looks of a grandparent.
