Butter Beans 12 Years, 8 Months ago
I've always found Butter Beans boring, but tonight I found out that they are ok when smothered with mint sauce. Anyone else not a fan of Butter Beans? Enter code here Please note: although no board code and smiley buttons are shown, they are still usable.

I'd completely forgotten about butter beans, which I hadn't eaten since my childhood many years ago. I used to love them and think I'll go and buy some tomorrow.

I like them just as they are.

As a side note, I was thinking that we call the bean used in baked beans the 'haricot bean'. Since 'haricot' is French for 'bean' anyway, does this mean that we are eating 'bean beans'?

Memories of my mother murdering them in the pan put me off for years.
I did try them as a side dish with a tomato sauce,bit like a pulse,kinda worked.
