In all the adaptation of attitude, we tend not to notice things like the stoopid BBC London local news girl's microphone not working at all for the first 45 seconds of their 6.15 bulletin tonight.
As the content is so trivial, it made virtually no difference.
Neither did the fact that then, after a two minute film segment, they still hadn't corrected (or I suspect) noticed.
Waiting breathless for her THIRD live link - it's now 6.22
Will we viewers hear her? Will the useless sound person have corrected the fault?
Nope. 6.24 and she's still muffled and soundless - as is Wendy Hurrell, brain dead blonde weather bimbo.
There appears to be one microphone in the corner of the studio picking a vague squeak up.
But why should anybody notice since clearly nobody at the BBC cares (or any viewer other than me, I suspect).
Will we get a continuity apology I wonder? Doubt it. They will have gone national by now. Yup.
I always find it so sad when I go to BH these days and bump into some truly great technical people who would have died for the BBC, but were forced into early retirement and now, of course, are back there as freelances, busier than ever, when they should have been training all of these dullards how to broadcast. What a waste of so much talent. I know they're still gainfully employed (and much better paid), but I also know they'd love to be back working for the Beeb.
Internal markets made lending from the BBC music library more expensive than going out and buying new records. Was maybe great for the music industry but a total desaster for the BBC.
