TV is Denmark is mainly non-commercial - DR is their equivalent of the BBC. They also don't appear to have gone all glam and Hollywood - the actors all look like real people you'd see if you were out shopping in Tescos. I think that by keeping their dramas real, and not making the main protagonists gorgeous, overly made-up and anorexic (during the leaders' debate Christiansen defies her spin doctor by admitting to having a big bum). It's good to see Strang from the killing turn up as a the new PM's wife. Did you notice the PM doing her ironing whilst watching the news on TV?
