Not necessarily. My favourites are "Pommes ecrassees" - fork crushed; not smooth (blendered), or creamed (with cream) as opposed to pureed. Enter code here Please note: although no board code and smiley buttons are shown, they are still usable.

Well, fork crushed has intentional lumps or chunks in it - which I find a more interesting texture. Mashed, for me, is much smoother and done with a different utensil.
