Well, a spectacularly successful Jubilee 11 Years, 11 Months ago
Loved the sight of all those barges flowing down the Thames.

And you know what, I rather liked the pouring rain. At least it wasn't that horrid English drizzle.

And surely nobody can deny - our Queen is quite a girl.

I was pleased I had the option to go inside once the rain started, and I had watch some of the pageant on TV. The atmosphere is awesome and I think the day went well .. even if I found a piece of egg shell in my sandwich.

Meanwhile oop north, Had a Jubilee themed communal garden party. Just lovely and the warm sun shone all day! Splendid.

I thought the concert was terrific (what I saw of it); well done Gary Barlow - nice to see the Music Industry play such a key part in the celebrations.

Loved Charles' speech especially the cheer for his Dad and the crowd chanting Philip Philip.

Yes, no rain in the Lake District either. And at 10.15 on Monday night, I was at the top of one of the Lake District hills to see the lighting of one of the official diamond jubilee beacons. A once in a lifetime experience.

and a special mention for Jemma Samuel who read one of the prayers at the Jubilee service at St Paul's. She had to stop and start again because the previous speaker, David Cameron, had not turned the page for her (as was expected). There was a awkward silence while she found the proper page, but she kept her composure where others might have crumbled.

Afterwards Prince Andrew apologize to her. I don't know whether David Cameron apologize to her. But I guess it will add the novelty of her Jubilee experience.
