SoundExchange is a US non-profit organisation which distributes royalties for digital transmissions (webcasts, satellite radio) to artist and labels (owners of the rights to sound recordings)

I just checked to see if I could claim some money and discovered that since 1/2/96 all the records I was involved in together were aired zero times.

This shock was only slightly relieved when i fooled around with their database and discovered that
JK only had 7 (seven!) plays (all Everyone's Gone To The Moon).

And guess how many times records from Stiff were played: 77

So much for the diversity of Internet & Satellite radio!

The list of unpaid artist is here:

Would they automatically feed through to PPL for the UK?

I think so, but as far as I understand it, the artists have first to register with SoundExchange.

On the unpaid artists list are major british stars like the Animals and Kim Wilde.
