On Sounds of the 60s they often play Love Affair hits and almost every time I am astonished by how good a singer Steve was (and I gather still is - he tours constantly). Yes it was my TV show Good Evening I'm Jonathan King which "exposed" that - I was rather angry at having to do so; for years I'd been doing the same (i.e. Hedgehoppers Anonymous); everyone knew bands like The Monkees didn't play on the early hits; I felt it was unfair on the Love Affair but my Producer insisted.
