Could be the "biggest" hit of the summer... 18 Years ago
on holiday in Florida in a convenience store this came on a local radio station and the entire shop stopped to listen to the words and laugh at it... I've never seen a reaction like it.

www.myspace.com/biggybiggy

and read the lyrics lower down the page while it's playing.

Could go either way that one.. 18 Years ago
In the true spirit of Tipsheet, my comment is , I think it`s really good, but it doesnt send me, what I can only call, a full landscape. I do not like the backing track basically.
Great idea though, and I hope I am proved wrong.
I think the European market`s ears, require a very compressed sound currently.

Strange balance but hypnotically intriguing... 18 Years ago
reminds me for some reason of the Laffy Taffy track which sold loads.
Very very different and could just be enormous.

Uugh! Horrid!

And probably selling millions! 18 Years ago
Talk about one dimensional.
But incredibly catchy.
It's a one trick hit but so are some of the biggest.
Should sell millions of T-Shirts.

I'll join you on that: dump everything except the voice and massively re-arrange it. And even then, it will need a bigger chorus for Europe.

Actually Michael, if they bang me over a copy, I will prove my point, and make it sound like a Euro hit, at the weekend!

WOW!!!!!

I haven't heard so obvious a massive smash since CRAZY by GB 18 Years ago
Martin - you can download an mp3 from the Myspace site I think.
But I have to tell you it sounds huge just as it is.
Why muck about with a monster?
Plus the Yanks don't take too kindly to Euro adapting!

Sounds more like a T Shirt than music... 18 Years ago

But it is a very good slogan.

I have just re-listened... 18 Years ago
It`s in my head now and I want to re-mix it badly!
I had better get in touch with these guys.
I want compressed guitars and wailing backing singers!
its bigger than they think......indeed..
Message to WoW, I realise I can download it, but I need the seperate parts.

wacky, funny and an instant hit. Same angle as the age old "Oh, what a beauty".

It's not a monster, it's a promising demo. One thing they do take kindly to is a business proposition.

Funnily enough, though I don't like it, I think you're wrong Michael... 17 Years, 12 Months ago
I think its charm and commerciality lies in the tacky, one dimensional feel.
Your suggestion is like saying The Birdie Song would be improved by adding the London Philharmonic!

Good point but.. 17 Years, 12 Months ago
This song has got people talking, and that is a major plus.
And re-The Birdy Song....It was never turned down by a company down here, for publishing rights.
Ok maybe it was...........

Alex, it needs re-mixing, I.e. Not necessarily re-working but revisiting the initial mix, the music is way too low.

Even Lil Louis' "French Kiss" was reasonably well produced, despite its one-trick-pony feel.

Bear in mind that hit records are often re-mixed per territory in Europe. France and the UK go for softer sounds, Belgium and Germany can dig a bit of rough. I can't really think of the last time something produced like this was a HIT (which was the original message). That means lots of heavy rotation on chart radio. I can't hear it for the moment.

But then, I could be wrong - wouldn't be the first time.
