Hi, I'm looking to get my band supporting a major act on tour. They are mainstream rock; same sort of genre as Foo Fighters. Any suggestions who I should talk to, and how much it is likely to cost me? Thanks, Ben.

you really need label backing, 10k might get you half a tour as a buy on. better off building friendships.

Yes - agreed with Tour Manager - it's all about who you know unfortunately. Majority of touring acts tend to have supports on that are linked to the same label to generate more money in merchandise sales etc

Luckily alot of our supports to big acts have been by making friends with promoters and bookers. I don't think any band should have to pay ridiculous amounts of cash to go on tour though.
