So CD:UK is dead.
Top of the Pops 2 is dead.
Cookery has taken over from music on Saturday morning TV - as well as those stupid irritating cartoons for annoying small brats.
We are killing music and we've done it by hyping the charts for so long that only a few true crossover, mass appeal sounds filter through.
TRAGIC.

I sometimes watch music on Sat morning ... 17 Years, 11 Months ago
... via one of the various music channels on digital. Mostly they show videos, but there is the Performance Channel which has a few decent concerts (Marianne Faithful yesterday). I never saw a great deal of real music on Saturday morning mainstream TV, just some bits of manufactured pap. However, JK, I see your point. Not everyone has digital, and more music should be available on regular TV.

Maybe the ITV shakeup will produce something.

Tragic indeed. However, I've said it before and I'll say it again, "TV is dead, long live the Net."

TV is not dead yet they need to splash a bit on good prograames and not crappy daytime repeats.

sorry Andrew, but must respectfully disagree. Your own diagnosis of "crappy daytime repeats" and lack of spending rather says it all.

Compare with the net: fresh, exciting, new talent coming through and an environment where cheesy repeats are instantly clicked off. No contest.
