Stevie Gerrard is brilliant; West Ham playing superbly (Andrew was right about Dean Ashton)... this is one hell of a game... back to it.

But we are in UEFA I hope we win this I want to see West Ham win something in my life time without such greats of Billy Bonds, Geoff Hurst, Trevor Brookin, Bobby Moore, Martin Peters, 'Bop' Robson I don't know his actual name.

Liverpool make me bloody

Brilliant game brilliant day.. 18 Years ago
We put the TV in mum`s garden, hired a marquee, and had twenty guests for a barbeque.
Drove home via a local pottery shop, brought a fantastic signed fruit bowl, then picked fresh asparagus from a farm shop, approximately @

I did something useful instead !

Thats the Winter Olympics missed completely, the Cup Final, and now all we have to do is avoid TV for the whole of June !

Boro take note. 18 Years ago
That's how a cup final should be played. Lots of effort on both sides. End to end action. West Ham took the lead by an own goal, and they missed out on the winner because of a one legged player. The pitch, on occasions, looked more like a battlefield with bodies littered here and there - mostly due to cramp.

Star of the match - Liverpool's keeper. Well read penalties.

I was rooting for West Ham. It's about time they won something, plus I could then have said that my team (Boro) were beaten by the eventual cup winners.

Oh well ... here comes the World Cup - then there's the hopes of next season.

Fantastic final and as a scouser I have to admit that West Ham played the better football and we got lucky.

That said Andrew's anti-Liverpool posts make me feel like taking the michael somewhat. However, I'll resist and say that Pardew is a great manager and a dignified man.

Great game

I think I am what can only be described as a fair weather football fan Ivor, I only really watch the big games and the big clubs. Cricket is my thing, I have tickets for one of the forthcoming tests, which means it`s bound to rain again!

We will win UEFA... that would be sweet. I'm fed up with seeing the four top British teams always quailfy for it; Arsenal, Man UTD, Liverpool and Chelsea.

By then we should have some good forwards that Pardew has got his eye open for.

I would love it if we won it; love it love it !!!

sing along to this; 'My old man said follow west ham don't dilly dally on the way.'
