How long will it last on the web ? Is it legal ? Let's hope it stays. In any case im listening to all the tracks that bring back memories. It really makes me miss the old TOTP when they had proper presenters on it. As for the modern version. Glad to see it go.
Speaking of TV, i hope im not sounding like an old fart but TV's obsession with youth particularly presenters is out of order. In the 80s TOTP was presented by proper presenters like Mike Read, Janice Long, Noel Edmonds and John Peel sometimes. Proper presenters who could speak proper english as well.

Good to see Men Without Hats again. 17 Years, 11 Months ago
Also Slade's Lock Up Your Daughters, among many others.

I preferred the 1970s, but the 80s did have 1 or 2 decent tunes.

F****** ****! Connoisseurs of popular culture will appreciate the finer points of the performance billed under Almodovar y McNamara. Now I remember why I hated the 80s so much and why they were so funny at the same time.

I unfortunately pressed the arrow first Cilla!
I did`nt hate the 80`s myself Michael, it was a time in which I wanted to be a part of it, that said, I am glad I was not a big a part of it, as I would be cringeing at the work that I did then.
Any Adam Ant stuff is fine by me.

Re:best web site ever????? 17 Years, 10 Months ago
Well spotted, Cilla!

Even found a video of one of my fave bands Fischer-Z

(I've never met anyone else who's even heard of them)

Must be that I like unusual vocals!

I adore Fisher Z Stretch 17 Years, 10 Months ago
I e-mailed him,(John?) and got no reply.
My fave songs are "Marliese" and "Perfect Day".
They were way ahead of their time.

Re:I adore Fisher Z Stretch 17 Years, 10 Months ago
... "Bought a '69 Capri, Failed the MOT, What a waste of time" in 'The Worker' (Pretty much what I was doing around the same time ...)

Nice to find a fellow fan Martin!

Still cant remember my fave song though 17 Years, 10 Months ago
I thought it was called Perfect Day, but it wasnt, I fear.Era 1987.
It was a song about hunting through personal ads in a paper.
Sounded a bit like "We didnt start the fire " by Billy Joel, only way earlier.
Childish oil painting on the cover.
Ideas anyone?

I seem to rememeber them still touring the summer festivals (admittedly the C-list) only a few summers ago. They did have a respectable career for a while.

Martin, Fischer-Z did do a track called 'The Perfect Day'. It's on their album called 'Reveal' (1987). I've got it on vinyl - so I can't play it, but I remember it was good!

They also had an album entitled Fishes Head which probably confused people ...
