Terrible seeing him led away in handcuffs. What kind of threat is he supposed to pose at his age and blind? It seems like a modern day lynching. I see that Gloria Allred and the Wailers were out in force, including Chelan Lasha, her record for false reporting and prostitution seemingly having paled into irrelevance.

I have no idea if he was guilty or not, but I doubt the wisdom of filling a prison cell with someone who is clearly no threat to the public at his age and in his state of ill health. There must be some more intelligent way he could be penalised. He's already lost his reputation, which is probably his greatest punishment.

There comes a time - after a long and winding road, of dozens of allegations, evidence and hearings - that justice needs to be done.

Few are arguing against this outcome.

But the saga does clearly illustrates one aspect of the US legal system.

Famous, well connected and wealthy people can seriously delay progress.

And that some people are actually guilty, like Juice (OJ), who is now free - and making a decent talk show/lecture living around America.

Many Cosby documentaries already in the can(s)....

Have you forgotten that OJ Simpson was found not guilty?

That was for a different offence, Barney.

OJ got a 33 year sentence for being innocent!

If you watched his murder trial (the actual trial not that ludicrous tv show) you would see that it was not possible for him to have committed the crime as laid out by the prosecution, and therefore he is presumed not guilty.

Are you saying his sentence for the armed "robbery" was deliberately harsh because they thought he was guilty of the murder?

There's an interesting BBC documentary about the OJ Simpson case on YouTube entitled "BBC - OJ Simpson the Untold Story".

It's quite astounding that no-one has been convicted of the killings.

The police planting and contaminating evidence have made it pretty impossible to find the truth.

And significant that nobody is being sought!

90% of white America now adjudge OJ to be guilty (of the mursers).

Black Americans - 60% of them - now indicate a guilty verdict.
