That sound logical but might need explaining, as many people might think it more honourable to side with the victims of crime if a friend broke the law. But if Andrew didn't believe that Epstein broke the law, and that was why he maintained contact, perhaps he might be in deeper trouble if he said so.
Do you think this Virginia Roberts woman has a financial motivation?
"She rejected suggestions that she was motivated by the possibility of compensation, saying that the statute of limitations prevented her making a legal claim."
www.bbc.com/news/uk-49774539
Is there still some way of her receiving compensation? Could she be being paid by the media? There's mention [url-https://www.businessinsider.com/inside-jeffrey-epstein-accuser-virginia-roberts-unsealed-memoir-2019-8]here[/url] of a memoir.

Saying 'I have no recollection of ever meeting this lady' is a prudent way of putting his point.
Just in case someone produces pictures, video, documentation or other irrefutable evidence of a rendezvous/alliance.
Nobody can disagree with PA's statement - as only he knows what he remembers.
A common stance to take, in legal matters - relating to whether or not individuals have met, or had interaction.
Later, PA can easily say - if and when collaborative evidence is produced - 'ah I think I remember her now'....

I agree hedda.
He was right to say he doesn't know. If he outright said "no" and he may have done, people will think he's lying.
I mean it's nothing but a stitch up.
The press printed a photo of him and her and splashed it across pages. All of this was going on before phone hacking was known about and in the background of Diana's suspicious death.
I think the convenient Princely stitch up was possibly to try and keep the wolves away from poking around hacking.
Diana's death is indeed connected to phone hacking too.
They can deny it as much as they like, but it is a FACT.
Diana gave the phone numbers of royal members to News of the World (Rupert's staff).
She was not killed by Mi5/6 or royalty as the nutter brigade would want people to believe.
That BS only serves a purpose for the criminals who carry guilt.
Think about the night she died, how many on Fleet Street and elsewhere knew hacking was going on? Any lawyers in the know at the time?
They kept very quiet on that.
Instead, they turned their attentions to create outrage at the Queen not putting the flag up so they marched Tony Blair out to speak to her.
Meanwhile the Queen was busy confiscating radios and Tv's from every room to protect Harry and William.
Poor family, and on top of their grief they get accused of murder.
The media are disgusting and standards are worse today!

Andrew's experience will be a timely reminder to his nephew Harry - who seems to think that he, and his family, should live (part of the time, at least) in America.
When spending Christmas there this year, Harry and Meghan will be aware that the global media will be constantly watching them - and that US born Meghan will make them even more newsworthy.
Our former king, Edward VIII spent a lot of time in the US, with his American wife (also a divorcee, with a past) - before the days of instant TV coverage and the internet.
Even then, he and Wallis couldn't escape the limelight. Their visits to places such as Palm Springs and Manhattan - like Andrew's - were well covered in the media then; primarily magazines and newspapers.

I think he acquitted himself reasonably well in the interview. The only part which I thought a bit wobbly was when he admitted that it was him in the photo wearing clothes he usually wore when travelling abroad but implied that the photo might have been mocked up because he said that he didn't tend to get touchy-feelie in photos. But there was not only a hand round her, and here he seemed to be questioning whether it was his hand, but a hand round him. He did say that the photo had been taken upstairs in Epstein's home and that he hadn't been upstairs, which seemed more solid.
It looks as if Virginia Roberts might well get compensation from the estate.

The Andrew/Rolf link is bizarre, under so many headings
Although I've no interest in either mediocrity
Rolf - was a stage Australian; performed in the UK, as an oddity
Andrew, talentless/just born into a privileged family
What they have on common though...
...is an chronic inability to employ a good PR organisation

I'm a bit puzzled by that photo but I'm no expert on photo-shopping.
He says it's a photo of a photo of a photo..not sure how he knows that but his arm around her looks as though it could be a bit too long. But that could be just how I'm looking at it.
There are some things I think are pretty evident...and it's my speculation..but these Royal Blokes are really in the hands of their controllers day and day out and they are drilled relentlessly on how to act.
They aren't robots..they are human beings and they are going to have sex but my pal who was a Royal Correspondent on Hello! for years told me once "the boys are told to only have sex with ladies form the same "class"..of which there will be endless offers".. they are after all bigger than Pop Stars..(even JK ) and plenty of Sloane Rangers will be lining up to do the dirty..( and some are gorgeous..look at Harry's conquests) so I ask you..
If Andrew had just bonked a working prostitute (for that is what she is) and knew that's what happened...would he be them photographed with her !!!!!
