Who cares whether Harris ever worked at a fast food outlet?

Like Jo I find this whole patronising obsession by politicians trying to look "ordinary" bizarre.

Why would we want a leader of our nation to be ordinary? And why would we also assume people who work in fast food outlets, or shoe shops, or building sites, or care homes etc are in any way "ordinary".

That is simply their occupation. Why would we then measure everything else about a person from this?

It proves that Harris can't stop lying, like saying what music she got stoned to, Tupac and Snoop Dogg didn't release their debut albums until the early 1990's.

She has locked up many Black folk for getting for weed, she was ok with and her friends smoking it.

USA is based on Christian beliefs. Harris has insulted most the Yanks, she is pandering to purple hair people and rainbow people.

Harris has raised kids, thank you again Matt Walsh. Harris is a bullshitter.

Great points, Wyot! These "hey, look at me being ordinary" stunts are absolutely patronising, to the people working there and the general public. Yet I have the impression that some people are just thrilled by them, such as those who meet royals and are left starry eyed by "witty" or "hilarious" remarks that are utterly mundane. It must be star power, or something.

Trump has gone on the right podcasts if he gets the Joe Rogan gig, the election is over. I don't the phoneyness of Rogan he sold his soul to Spotify and there are dozens and dozens of interviews he has buried.

Donald Trump is reported this afternoon to be recording this Joe Rogan podcast you mention.

I don't know this person, why do you say the election is over if Trump does the podcast Green Man?

While cooking the evening meal tonight I've been enjoying Sky News Australia and their host Rita Panahi who does a wonderful job of dismantling Kamala Harris and tearing all this nonsense apart in a highly amusing and satisfying fashion. Another great recent discovery.

Joe Rogan Experience is the biggest podcast anyone can do, it gets millions of views on YouTube and listeners on Spotify. I am watching a delayed stream with Youtuber The Quartering.

Spotify did crash briefly due to excess traffic on the stream. When Trump did an interview X with Musk, it broke X due to traffic and even Rumble had issues.

Rogan is asking good questions and some tough tough ones, Trump is answering them and going into depth. Rogan didn't want Trump but buckled down, when Trump did numerous podcasts, even with Logan Paul who is popular with the under-30s for some odd reason.

Trump did mention the impact Net Zero has on marine life and birds, which the Dems ignore. The windmills are recyclable when they break down, they have go to landfills.

Trump did a 3 hour interview on Joe Rogan then did a rally afterwards on the same day.

Harris will only do a 60 minute interview with Rogan if he flies out for it. Is Harris scared of Rogan, despite that he asked Trump some tricky questions and was very direct towards Trump, even JD Vance is going on Rogan.

It's probably the biggest podcast in the world and gets more views than the MSM.

Sorry Rich but I can't handle Rita Panahi or indeed most of Sky News but I do note Sky was brave enough to challenge the false accusations against Cardinal George Pell and others.

I think these stunts are ridiculous and something is bound to happen like Trumps silly garbage truck stunt where he wore a vest and then bugled trying to get into a garbage truck.. a garbage festooned with Trump campaign posters.

Then we have Biden saying Trump voters are garbage while Trump has said exactly the same about Democrat voters.

I doubt stunts convince one voter to change their mind although the Puerto Rican "garbage" joke has really resonated with the millions of Puerto Ricans..but is it enough to swing an election ?

*The USA is a secular country..the very first to be so. Mind you politicians of both persuasions invoke God (but does he listen?)

Far more important are the policies of the candidates and Elon Musk who it seems has been promised a big role in a Trump government has claimed he will slash $1 Trillion from the US budget.

Does that mean slashing the aged pension? The Republicans have already said they will slash if not end the aged pension and probably raid the coffers despite all Americans paying into that fund.

Still, Trump is sticking to his "fabulous new health care" plan with details to be released in 2 (or 4) weeks..despite him saying similar 7 years ago.
