Two fabulous young grouse (£60 Harrods) roasted for 20 minutes (pink) with bread sauce, roast potatoes, baby green peas, redcurrant jelly and a glass of chilled Pouilly Fume (Waitrose do a good one at £8.99).

Followed by fresh blueberries, raspberries, sliced bananas, strawberries and whipped cream.

Much better than the below average Chinese buffet I just endured with my gf and her 2 daughters!

By the way how many portions did the £60 grouse do?

I can't bear grouse

didn't Oscar Wilde have something to say about them ?

I find them on par with pigeon..I was with a friend in Spain once and he insisted on pigeon pie and had to eat it ..grimacing all the way through it while I enjoyed my paella and sangria.
